Amanda Santos is a Southern California mixed media artist. She uses ceramics, glass, and paper pulp to make work that explores mental health and connectedness. She utilizes repeating forms and bright colors to combat societal pressures of individuals who suffer from anxiety and depression.
She has received her BFA from Azusa Pacific University and is currently an MFA candidate at California State University, San Bernardino.
Amanda has shown locally for the past eight years in the greater LA and San Bernardino counties. Her work has been featured in solo exhibitions at Gallery 106 (San Bernardino) and Heritage Gallery (Azusa). Amanda has also displayed her art in multiple group exhibitions, most recently at the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art (San Bernardino) and in Gallery S11 (San Bernardino). Her other notable group exhibitions include but are not limited to a show as a part of the Omnium Collective at Stay Gallery (Pomona) and an exhibition displayed for a full year at the Maloof Foundation (Rancho Cucamonga).
Amanda has been teaching for four years and is currently an adjunct professor of ceramics at Chaffey Community College. She enjoys her work as an instructor and values the opportunity to pass on her knowledge and help her students cultivate new and meaningful works of art.
